A tradition to fill every year
In Italy the Befana, a kindly old witch, fills hanging stockings with sweets, and a little coal, on the night between 5 and 6 January. A handmade stocking with the child's name makes the tradition even more special.
The same stocking hangs at Christmas too and comes out again every year, becoming part of the family's memories. It's worth planning ahead and messaging me in the autumn.
