Crochet birth announcement bows, personalized with the name
In Italy, a “fiocco nascita” on the door is the first way to tell everyone the baby has arrived. I crochet mine by hand, with the baby's name and a little amigurumi, in the colours you choose.

What you can personalize
- The baby's name, worked in yarn
- The colours of the name, flowers and balloons
- A teddy bear or another amigurumi, even on a swing
- A hoop, a flower wreath or a large fabric bow
- A message such as “Welcome…”
A welcome to hang on the door
Italian families traditionally hang a birth bow on the front door, or on the hospital room door, to announce a new baby. My crochet version brings together the name, balloons, hearts or flowers and an amigurumi teddy bear, mounted on a hoop or a wreath.
After the first days, the bow doesn't end up in a drawer: it becomes nursery decor and a keepsake to treasure alongside the first photos.

Frequently asked questions
When should I order a birth announcement bow?
A while before the due date, so there's time to choose the details together. Message me on Instagram and I'll tell you the timing.
Can you make one for a baby girl?
Of course: pink, blue, sage green or any colours you like. Every bow is different.
Is the bow only for the door?
No, after the birth many families hang it in the nursery: it's a memory that stays.
Would you like one of your own?
Message me on Instagram with the name, colours and date, and I'll suggest the right idea.
